![]() Hip Hop Addiction Here is a topic I personally can never get tired of discussing because it rules the world. Hip Hop at it's height was the biggest draw in the world. People were amazed by what they heard about and wanted to no more. Hip Hop was the "Rocky" of the world for everyone that was looking for a way to be understood. Once people realized Hip Hop wasn't just about the artists and it was also about the people, the addiction took place. Music is good for the soul and helps get you through tough situations because it can actually medicate your moments. I know everyone that listens to music, has several different songs that will transform their mood immediately no matter what their present state of mind is. I have so many songs that put me in a zone just by the message, lyrics, track or all of the above.
Hip Hop is to me the genre of music that doesn't discriminate because of who you are or where your from. Most people I know that listens to it are positive and optimistic people that when they listen it gives them a certain "Swagger" or that indestructible attitude. This can be used in good ways and bad, I mean it's just like drugs, every one that's good for you can instantly become bad if not used in the prescribed dose. Hip Hop is probably the biggest addiction out because almost all major companies use it like bait and it's become so everyday that we don't even recognize what's happening. I know there are a lot of critics that dislike Hip Hop culture because of what they see and hear but I wish they could break it down and see the positive things that Hip Hop does. There are a lot of successful people that have a little Hip Hop on their Ipods and other things they listen to their music on. All I have to say is "Hello everybody, my name is OneMan......and I am a Hip Hop Addict!!
