![]() This has been an ongoing trend in the Hip Hop community but lately it has been involving entertainers as a whole. "Bling Bling" originator B.G. is one of the latest Rappers to get sentenced to a prison term. B.G. was recently sentenced to a 14 year term stemming from a traffic stop in 2009 where a gun was in the vehicle occupied by B.G. and two other men. B.G. plead Guilty after other facts were introduced into the case that left him no choice because they were trying to give the Star 25 years for his charges. There are other notable artists in the Hip Hop world that are currently or soon to be convicted of a crime such as Beanie Sigel (tax evasion), Lauren Hill (tax evasion), Lil Boosie (parole violation), Young Buck (weapons charge) and Ja Rule (weapons charge). There are many others well known or not that that are being incarcerated at a higher rate than it used to be. A lot of that stems from the days when lawyers were like sharks clinging to these Hip Hop artists that were making millions of dollars for the "Labels" and the labels making sure their investment was protected. Now with the decline of sales affecting the music industry as a whole, unfortunately that is an area that really hits the artist that was used getting off a little easier having to fend for themselves. Believe me the powers to be have been waiting on the days were they can get convictions because their was no resistance given to them from the defense counsel. I have to advise all of these entertainers to make sure your business is together and don't fall into the trap of thinking you have enough money to fight the case because in case you didn't know the law got way more money than we can ever get our individual hands on. www.g1muzic.com
